Insights Shaped by Life and Learning

Terrie Gibbons is a writer and business intelligence professional whose background spans business, technology, data science, and psychology. Her work brings together professional knowledge, lived experience, and a lifelong interest in understanding people, change, and the choices that shape our lives.

Her writing is shaped by experiences of faith, caregiving, grief, change, and beginning again. Through thoughtful reflection, she explores how we understand where we have been, what we can learn from it, and how we move intentionally toward what comes next.

Lived Experience

Real life has a way of teaching lessons no classroom can fully prepare us for. Those experiences often become the starting point for deeper reflection.

Thoughtful Insight

Education, research, observation, and experience come together to look beyond what happened and consider what it may teach us.

Moving Forward

Life does not always give us a map. Sometimes the next step begins with understanding where we are and choosing how we want to move from here.

Looking Ahead

Terrie Gibbons is currently writing I’ve Lost Someone I Love. Now What?, a compassionate nonfiction book for the season that often follows the initial shock of losing someone we love.

The book explores how grief affects the spirit, mind, and body. It is not a set of instructions or a map toward a particular destination. Instead, it offers readers a place to pause, notice what is happening within them, and feel less bewildered as grief reveals different parts of itself.

I’ve Lost Someone I Love. Now What? is planned for fall 2026. A companion guide for personal reflection and group discussion is also in development.

The image in this announcement comes from a photograph my late husband took during one of our road trips along the Oregon Coast. He loved lighthouses; I loved the journey, and years later, I painted the scene. This image was adapted from my original watercolor.  It feels fitting that something created from a memory we shared should now accompany a book shaped by loving him and learning to live without him.
